Default stock 18 tires suck

2004 lariat anyone else have problems with the stock tires that came on em. I keep buying the bfgoodrich long trail but long is wrong word to use since i only get like not even 20000 on all four. they wear down so fast i buy two sets of tires in one year horrible. not much money so looking for something that will last longer but not as expensive

Wow. My 06 XLT came with General junk highway tires. I have 34K on the truck now and far from needing new tires...

i dont have any experience with the long trail, but i gaurantee the bfg all terrians will last a heck of alot longer than that, you can get 65,000 miles plus if you rotate them regularly

My 05 came with the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S's on it and they have 41 k on them right now and will probably last till the end of the summer if I leave them on. They arent that bad of a tire, just not that great in the snow. They aren't to hard on the pocket book either.

That's key too. I didn't even think about that in his original post. Mine are rotated every 8000 miles(every-other oil change)

Maybe check the allignment, they should not wear out that quick, I too would recommend the BFG at's, not cheap but good treadlife.I got right about 50k out of my stock General Tires, they really sucked but not bad mileage.
