stereo swap 2008 supercrew
wanting to take the stock stereo out of my truck. Can anyone either tell me or give me a address on the net to find out how it comes out. Does cover plate that is around the stereo, heat/air controls etc just pop off?
thanks for any feedback

The plastic piece that surrounds the radio and the A/C conttols just snaps right off. I't's held on by several clips but will come right off with a good little tug. When you get that piece off th radio itself is held on by four (4) 8mm screws.
NOTE: The A/C controls are attached to the plastic piece that surrounds the radio.

thaks for feedback....yeah the stock stereo sounds pretty good but I got a sub to add plus a 4 channel amp and I want bluetooth.. i listed the prices to add on to stock vs. buying new stereo and buying new stereo was cheaper. PLus the two double din stereos i am looking at have a cleaner signal than stock..

Yeah an aftermarket radio and aftermarket speakers will usually sound ALOT better than stock mainly because speaker companies put soo much time and research into making them sound the way they do.
