Thats nothing new, they are in business for a reason. No different than anything you buy retail.

It's good to know people! The parts guys at the Dealership I go to regularly usually give me 20% off because I bring all 3 of my Fords there for the service I can't or don't want to do.

Think about it like this. The guy that owns that dealership probably paid close to a million dollars or more for the lot and to build the building. Then he has to pay all of his employess, water bill, electrical bills, taxes, and insurance on all of it. That's a lot of money each month. Now I don't know about you guys but if I had that much invested in a place I'm gonna make some money with it. 135 dollars really isn't that bad if you think about what it cost to keep it running.

^ this. About $5 of that $135 is profit. I'm sick of hearing people cry about dealership prices. If you want to complain about something look at the price of designer clothes. You really think 50% mark up on a bumper is ridiculous when there's companies that charge $250 for a pair of jeans? Filipino kids made them for 15 cents a day and the $10 shipping back to the US is the biggest cost of the whole pair of jeans.

I saw that, and that's good, I appreciate deals and almost never pay retail for anything. But the retail price wasn't bad either the other option was to get one from a junk yard which would probably be close to the same price and used, and you might even have to remove it yourself. And I know dealer prices are high, I don't deny that, but the overhead is pretty high on a shop the size of most, and they have a selection of new parts that you can't get anywhere else. Plus storage and freight on a bumper is a lot higher than smaller parts so that's a lot of that $135 too.

What are the odds of finding a front bumper (not wrecked) in a junk yard?

Pretty good actually, I find good used parts all the time in salvage yards.
