Squeaky chair
The front passenger chair in my '08 f150 squeaks. Not when it is as vertical as it can get, and it does the most when it is about 3 detents back from that almost vertical position. It makes noise when the force on the back is applied. I'm guessing this is due to the mechanism that allows the chair back to go up and down, considering it is much more used (and probably abused) and the driver's seat never moves.
There is a bit of play in the chair back (like tilting, just a little, but it is noticable), but the driver's seat doesn't move. I tried greasing the springs and joints for the tilting mechanism with no dice. I used graphite based lubricant. What could be making this sound?
