Squeaking when accelerating...please help
#12
Ok so today I took my shaft out and the squeak was due to bad u goints I took the shaft off at work I work at a mechanic shop and we were slow today so I took the shaft out and the rear ugoint is hard (should move by it self should not be stiff) and mine are stiff so I grab some WD-40 and worked it in for about 10 min and so far no squeak hope this helps and mine is really rusty due to a vehicle that it once lived up north (currently in miami) so I spoke to my buddy and apparently a u-goint goes for about 25 bucks

WD-40 fixes everything. Aerosol overhaul.
Of course I'm kidding. You might have bought a little time but the squeak will come back. I'd just replace it at your earliest convenience and be done with it. Taking the shaft out was half the labor. Once the shaft is out, replacing the joint only takes a few more minutes.
