squeak from rear of truck
I'm getting this annoying squeak from the back of the truck. Sounds like a belt but at the rear. Any ideas?

leaf bushings, shackle bushings, shock. If you jump up and down on the bumper does it make the sound when you move the truck up and down? Could be brakes or hub bearings. More info.

It really only does it when I'm in idle and not moving as soon as I hit the gas it goes away? It's weird wondering if it has something to do with the rough idle also

and you're fairly confident it's coming from the rear of the truck? Hope it's not something like the diff. But that wouldn't move if you weren't moving. If it were coming from the front it sounds like a belt issue. Or tensioner. Or alt bearing.

Definitely coming from the rear heard it again tonight I'm starting to think exhaust hanger or like^^^ said a heat shield. The doesn't change no matter what gear it's in. it'll come and go as it pleases and sometimes won't do it at all if I'm lucky

Go to the tailgate and when it is shut try to lift up on it on the left and right corners. You know shake it up and down. My bushings were gone and caused a squeak. I replaced both hinges to body, torsion rod on left side because you can't buy that bushing it is one unit and right bushing which just pops in.
