Nope, those are led.

I looked into that, but the price of it all that is what I don't like. lol The other thing is that I really don't want to take a dremel to my headlights, then I HAVE to buy new ones if I have a major screw up or something. Aside from that, it looks weird as hell having projectors just stuck in the center of a big reflector. haha.
To add to that, I'm not so much worried about the halos, although they look cool, but I'm more after having projector headlights since they spread the light out on the road evenly with no hotspots.

May I ask that someone with the Spyder projectors get some beamshots for me? Such as maybe a couple night-time shots of the actual lights shining at something like a wall or garage door (to show the beam profile) and then another shot in the same condition only they headlights are shining down an open road, that way I can get an idea of how the beams from the projectors spread across the road.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could do that.

Well the quality of projector is what your paying for.

These are the projectors I'd get if I went with retrofitting. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=101

Granted a set of them are cheaper than the Spyder headlights, but if I want the Oracle Halos too, then that price jumps up, and I also have to hack and mod to get them to work, vs. swap&splice with the Spyders.

The spypder headlights output is nothing compared to an FX-R.

Even a mini h1 would outperform. One of the reasons I returned mine was cause the output let me down. Cut off was jagged and had hot spots

Here's some pictures of the ccfl spyders on my truck. I think the cutoff is great, even though they aren't aimed straight, (not that OCD about it). But then again I don't really know much about headlights and definitely wasn't interested in making my own, nor did i like the look, but everyone has their opinion. Also threw in a day picture so you can see the halo's.

Your cutoff isn't horrible. Mine was way worse
