Sputtering issue. Anyone know what it is?
Hey for the past year or more my truck has had a sputtering issue. Under a load it seems like it will miss or something. There are also times that if i let off quick it seems to start running on less cylinders and the truck will shake and idle rough until i let off the gas and get back into it. If it seems to kick out some cylinders like that at an idle i can usually just blurp the throttle and it will clear back up. My buddy was riding with me one day and he said he has a friend who's truck would do that and ended up being a cam position sensor or crank sensor or something. I figured it was maybe the plugs so I changed them last year and didn't change. Had a K&N FIPK intake on it and figured maybe that was it but took it off and still does it. Let me know if anyone has had this issue. Thanks alot

The back side of the module corrode's and exposes the circuit board and can cause intermittent problems like you described... very common problem..if it looks ok I would look at Plugs and COP's as your problem...maybe even a dirty MAF and or throttle body.
