Ya I got this same problem. Up here in Canada, they cover the roads in salt. My engine compartment is full of mud. I called the dealer up and they said to never spray water under the hood because there are many components that get wrecked easily with too much pressure. Spray at your own risk man.

It tells how to clean the engine compartment in the owners manual. I believe it shows a couple areas to avoid getting wet depending on what engine you have. 10-4?
