You can't go wrong with them. I have had them for about 3 years now and they sound as clean/clear as the day I bought them. If you really want to go overboard like I did, you can buy some kick panel enclosures to help with the sound stage of the truck.

Looks like I'd put my foot right through that speaker. Don't know if I'm a fan of that, looks odd to me.
As far as speakers, I guess you can't go wrong with any name brand ones. I am using Infinity Kappa 6x9's, they sound good to me.

They are in my truck, I replaced all 4 stock speakers with them and don't run an amp or sub. These hit hard and have a nice clean sound to them. The stock speakers hit hard, but the sound just didn't do it for me; I had to mess with the bass and treble depending on what type of music I was listening to.
If I had an amp I'd likely have bought speakers a step or two up from these, but I'm quite happy with them overall.

The Alpine's and JL Audio Stealthbox are powered by a JL Audio HD900 amp. I currently have a Pioneer Appradio 3 for a head unit but I'm replacing it with a Pioneer 4200NEX or a Kenwood DDX9903S when they come out next month. They have time correction so I can better fine tune the sound stage in the truck.

It depends on the amp that you have.
