It's a new 1/2" drive 19v craftsman. But ill probably break them loose by hand with a 1/2" hand ratchet and soak them first like you said. It's my daily driver so when she goes down for surgery like this she has to wake up my Monday

Went to the shop today and the mechanic ran a test on this ignition system while driving down the road and found out that #4 and #5 cylinders were showing abnormal readings. So we ordered 2 more ignition coils and changed all 8 spark plugs without much headache. However, #5 plug did break and we extracted using the spark plug extracting tool from napa. I took it for a test drive and it seemed to do the trick to eliminate te overdrive problem.ill post the pics of the job. By the way, the mechanic did say that he changed plugs on several of these year model fords around 100,000 miles and #5 plug always seem to be the main one to go out!

I only use Chicago Pneumatic for air tools, and I used my 3/8-inch driveimpact for most of the plugs, except for two which were stuck in there good. Had to switch to my 1/2-inch drive impact wrench with 800lb-ft of torque to bust those suckers loose. All turned out good. I'll be replacing my spark plugs every 100,000km from now on.

I'm happy to report that I just changed out my spark plugs with no issue. Well, my mechanic cousin did all the work.
The truck has 88k miles. I ran two bottles of Seafoam through the gas tank (2 separate fillups) in the past few weeks. We also started work without letting the truck cool down first. Not sure how much effect that had on our success. The plugs came out looking exactly like the pics above. A few of the plugs were making creaking noises as they came out, but my cousin said as long as you don't hear a loud pop we're ok! The whole thing took less than an hour. It helps to remove the ECU plug thing from the passenger side of the firewall.
