Default Goof news on getting the 7th spark plug out that was stuck

Good news guys.Got the 7th spark plug out.As you might recall #7spark plug(sleeve)broke off while i was removing it.Well i finally got the rotunda spark plug sleeve remover and put it to use.Works great ya'll.But one thing thoe, the tool is not complete, meaning you have to use your own threader to thread the sleeve for removal then you feed the rotunda tool clockwise in the already threaded sleeve and then backout of it out counter clockwise slow and should come out.

Couldnt get pics of it working. But if you guys need me to decribe what to use it to thread the sleeve just let me know.A question was asked of how many miles are on it,only 41k.Pretty sad that one already one would break off.Another question was asked, what part number.well i dont remember the part number but i did use autolite spark plugs from any carcraft auto store. But guess what, even these are two pieced spark plugs but with a better helpd together.

Tell ya what thoe,in 2months i am going to the brisk one piece spark plugs just to make sure i dont have this problem again. It would be worth it to spend the 160bucks to ensure it never happends again with it being only one piece.

It is worth buying the tool from snap on for 94bucks if one were to break off.Hey it beats paying 3-4thousand to have it taken in and have a shop remove the whole engine.

I tell what ya'll,it was recomended that i should rent the tool out.if i get enuf ppl that say yes you should rent it out i will.Only thoe if enuf ppl say yes,lol..Well again if you have any questions on how to use the tool, what i did in all to remove the plugs just ask.

Seems to me like its worth paying a shop to change the plugs. My truck has 49k now.

My baby has 82,000 right now and I was planning to change the plugs at 100,00. I have a feeling I need to set aside a couple of days to get this done.... Anyway, I for one would love to rent your tool! Most likely gonna need it.

A shop will charge you from 400-600 bucks. And remember thats not useing that tool,That tool is only for if the spark plugs brakes off then they use it and you will have to pay more, probly then 500-700 bucks depending on labor and parts.I spent 80bucks for the plugs, and 94 for the tool.so lets just say about 200,if you were to aske me was it worth it,i would say yes, takes alittle longer but i saved a couple hundred bucks.if you do have a shop do it for ya,get it in writeing how much it will cost total just to have them changed, also get it in writeing if a plug(s)break off ask them how much then it will cost, just make sure to get them in writeing bro.

no you wont need a couple of days,If i would have had the tool in the first place,it would have only taken me about 3-4hours total, but i did not not have the tool when the sleeve broke off.If you know what your doing when it comes to plugs and you have the tool no more than 3-4hours bro.
well just let me know when ya want it,and we can work something out bro

Thats insane- that much just to change 8 plugs and $80 for plugs? How many hours of labor is that by the book?

The last plugs I bought for my Mustang were $2 each.

Well ford in all the infinite wisdom, lol put a plug that was lower for emisions yes,but ata higher price so you see the trade off thwew. And labor from the stealership depending on how much they charge per hour and most stealerships charge from 80-90bucks an hour in my area. But also remember lets face it stealerships do drag out the job just to make money.if i wouldnt have ran into any of my spark plug problems tops for me was 3-4hours and thats with removing the air box,one of the coolent lines and some lines just to get them out of the way and also removing the coils and thats not working fast either, lol. So you will look at it 5-600 bucks brother minus the plugs assuming they dont run into any problems.Oh ya the 80 bucks for the plugs was just for me cause my buddy works at carquest, without his discount they are 98bucks.So like i said, just go to any ford stealership and see what they charge for spark plugs and putting new ones in,make sure to get it in writeing, and also do ask that since the spark plugs are prone to breaking off how much extra if that happens and make sure to get it in writeing.I would say take it to an auto shop but belive it or not, most shops will not carry the tool to remove the spark plug incase it breaks off and will charge you up the *** just to remove the engine and the cylender heads.Your best bet is to by the plugs, buy the tool just incase you need it and do it yourself if you know what your doing of course.well let me know what you think bro
