Default Spark Plug Change Questions

I have a '05 Lariat Screw that has 95K on the clock and am getting ready to do the spark plug change soon. What I would like to know is how many of those here that did the change themselves actually changed the boots when doing the work. When I talk to the stealer they said that new boots were recommended.

Thanks. Douglas

I didn't the first time but I will when I get around to doing it the second time. Most people replace them when doing the plugs. They are cheap.

If you change your boots, while you have your COP in your hand, twist the spring off and check the blade that the spring screws onto for corrosion. It will probably be green in color. Clean the blade for better contact with the spring.

When I changed the plugs I did NOT do the boots but I do them 30k miles later.
Rock Auto has a set of boots and new springs for like $30
