Default LEVELING KITS; Ride Vs Offroad Performance

just wondering what kind of ride everyone gets with various leveling kits on their 2004 or newer 4x4 truck?[no raptors]
i have the aluminum spacer on top of strut/spring and my ride is kind of stiff around town.
i assume the aluminum spacer i have is about a 2-2.5 inch lift? its actually about 1/8 inch higher in front than back, so whats that equal?

How big is your level. What load range are your tires. I put a 3" kit on mine and it was rough. When I added a 1" rear block, it got better because more weight was back on the front. My ride is still a little stiff over small bumps, but my D rated tires add to the stiffness too. I could probably take the 1" spacer out and put a 2" in its place and the ride would be better, but then I would have my rear end higher than the front again.

I have the 2" leveling kit on mine. Ride is just about the same as stock. When I checked for the height difference between front and rear it came to 2.25" lower than rear. The 2" spacers raised the front 2.50" at first, then settled at 2".

I'm running a 2.5" HBS leveling kit rode stiff up vs stock but then I added Rancho RS9000's all the way around. Rides a lot better now. Highly recommend them

3" level, shoulda gone with 2.5. Ride is a little stiff but no complaints. On the trail, you feel everything but I guess its to be expected

I have the 5100's all the way around, it stiffened up my ride a tad bit from the OEM's that the roads up here ate within a year and half. I welcomed the stiffness though because it handles much better and off road it helps with all the bumps. Love them!

arent big name aftermarket shocks usually a softer smoother ride in the middle of the shock travel and get progressively stiffer near full compression/extension?

Some times. Bilstein tests theres for actual on and off road improvement in performance not just ride quality.

Cool 13 fx4 screw 6.2 bilstein 5100@ 1.5"

Just got my Bilsteins and 275/65/20 terra graps on 2 days ago. Highway ride is better than stock and stoc ride was great. City is a little firmer but barely, definitely handles better. I would not change back to stock for any reason, super happy.
