Talking Spark Plug Change at 109k Miles. Success!

So I got my truck (2005 Lariat Supercab) a year an a half ago with 76k miles and since it was already past the 50k, I decided I would just risk it and change the plugs once they went bad. Well, at 108k a few weeks ago it started hesitating under light acceleration. Cue bad plugs. Had a few nightmares but finally manned up and did them today.

Soaked them with PB Blaster last night and bright and early today I started wrenching. I made sure NAPA had the Lisle tool in stock since I was sure at least a couple would break.. Well, a couple hours later I was done. None broke, threw some one piece Champions in, and hesistation is gone. This is gonna be a good weekend. Sweet!

Awesome job, I know the feeling of getting this job done without issues. Not crazy about the Champions but nice job none the less.

Thanks, guys. Well they have a 5 year warranty from Autozone so at the very least I can get new ones if they go bad. Autozone is good about no hassle warranties around here. Plus I won't have to stress about changing them anymore. The stock Motorcrafts are actually pretty solid to last an easy 108k miles. Too bad they're two-piece.

Well the new Motorcrafts don't break and if you put anti seize on the jackets they will come right out. There are all kinds of misfire problems with the Champions but some have had good success with them.
