So I was attempting to take off my spare to check the fuel sensor, and noticed that I only have rod where the spare is. Is there a way to get the spare out without the rods, and if not where could I buy them at.

Go to an auto wrecker and see if any F150s have the complete kit in them. That's the cheapest route. I don't know where you could find them new.
