Somebody has done it...

You could easily find salvage motors (complete or long block) for the 6.2 and the transmission. Not saying it would be cheap, but neither is retrofitting an entire powertrain with a 460. Just a matter of how much you really want to do it. For what it's worth you could get a 5.0, transmission, and procharger all for about 10k. That would definately be a different animal than you'd be used to.

5.0 swap would be loads easier than a 460 swap since it's a modular engine. IIRC the engine mounts for the 4.6/5.4 are in a location almost identical to the 5.0. It has been a while since I've removed a 4.6 though, I'm sure somebody will correct me. The transmission mounts would be different unless it's an 09/10 with the 6 speed.
Any swap like this can be done "cheaply", but you should get custom tunes so that everything will work properly. The electronics and gauges are gonna be tricky unless you just go full aftermarket (more money). They do have kits for "retromodders" that utilize the 5.0 and transmissions. That would be one thing to look into, but again, they usually have custom tunes for their application.
