Default Sold my STX bught a FX4

Hi guys, i Sold my STX, tired of the manual windows, locks and mirrors, tired of the vinyl floor, tired of the 2wd and bought a FX4 crew with all the goodies, except for sun roof.

Things i dont like about my new FX4 are those Fender Flares, iŽll take of and maybe i will sell them, i dont know the brand, but they are PTM DSG, another thing i dont like are those ugly wheels, iŽm looking for a nice set of OEM 20".

Things i want to do:
*Remove those Flares
*Install an OEM FX4 Flares
*Oem 20" wheels with some mud tires, maybe 33" or 35"
*1" wheel spacers
*Install a 09-14 FX4 front bumper and badges
*Some Led off road lights
*Harley style fheadlights
*New PTM door handles
*FX2 or SALEEN grille

But ok, this is not a trade o sale section, i know i only want to show you guys my new truck. what do you think about it? Shoud i stay with those flares? im not pretty sure.....

this used to be my STX.. now sold

09-14 bumper will not fit and I bet when you take those flares off, you will have bare metal showing. I agree, those wheels make that truck look like 1980.....

Or they put the flares on to hide rust...

Someone spent a bunch of money to put on color matched flares instead of spending a bunch of money to fix rust? I doubt that.

Not to mention, the guy is in Mexico. I don't think they even know what rust IS down there.

The truck looks a bit off... Can't put my finger on it but it sounds like you have plans to customize it as you want anyway. I'd call it a blank canvas!

Ok guys

It has been a while since my last posting on this forum , now i want to tell you about the progress, i removed the fender flares, had nothing of rust hiden, I installed the Original fender flares from another fx4 that was in a junk yard, it was marked where the other flares used to be and now I need to touch up the paint als 4 corners , then got a oem 20-inch wheels with the original Pirelli Scorpion tires with good trean on them, paid only 220 dlls for them, right now the pickup is in the shop because are replacing the timing kit, cam phasers and also the oil pump, spark plugs and they changed two of them failed, new two coils for the the the cylinder 2 and 8, and cleaning the fuel injectors.

Hope you like how my truck now looks like.

this is the truck with the oem fender flares and without the toneau cover

20" oem wheels, make a lot of diference

installed a new Moog suspension Uper control Arms, lowwer ball joints, inner and exterior tie rods, ans a 2.5" leveling kit

This is how my truck looks now, i know it need some bigger tires, iŽm saving money to get a new 35*13.50r20 TOYO mud tires and a set of BORE 1.5" wheel spacers

this one is for my front bumper

Timing components, all from the dealer, all oem parts. Bough the phasers from the dealer too, but they havenŽt in stock so we ordered.

Nice options. I hope you'll still enjoy them should they fail...there's something to be said for easy manual door locks, manual windows, and I would not give up my rubber floor for carpet ever!

Bet you're not liking that!
