A turbo is a bad *** fan like thing that runs off the exhaust and forces air and fuel in to the engine and makes things fast as hell. Are you getting a stronger tranny?

i talked to troyer and was told that they install their valve body into the stock tranny and throw 450rwhp through them all day. my goal is much more conservative. i figure 375rwhp is plenty safe with the torque management system still on and the vb installed.

cowboy, its 100% custom

Looks sick. What's the plan for tuning it? and you know you have to dyno it when you're done, right?

ill have the moch up on the exhaust done tomorrow. ill pull it all out and put my magnaflow back in so i can drive the truck. ill finish weld all the exhaust by sunday so itll be complete and ready to just bolt back in. the plan for next weekend is to do the vb swap unless i only get 1 day off. if thats the case, ill probably just throw the boost a pump in next weekend because itll be easy. thats as far as ive planned out. my work schedule is supposed to change soon so we will see what happens.

tuning will be done at powertrain dynamics, the same guy who tuned my twin turbo mustang.

the plan for keeping water from being sucked in is the fact the truck has a 9" lift. id have to drive through a puddle about 3 feet deep to soak the filter. as far as water splashing the filter, who cares. the tiny drops that make it through the filter will vaporize when they hit the impeller. and it only rains about 3 times a year in so.cal. and putting a shield over the filter will be cheap and easy

cowboy, well aware it needs a tune. this isnt my first rodeo......pun definitely intended
