Old guy here, what is it for, and more important is it even functional? Hoping its just an ornament. Another member I think put in louvers for what ever reason. Just a thought. OK, I'll go get another beer.

yes it is functional, it helps send it clean air to the engine while mudding or offroading. It actually helps get alot better gas mileage as well

Don't even bother.

Most aftermarket Snorkels have some engineering to them so they pull the cleanest driest air from the stream above the cab. An improperly shortened snorkel is just likely to suck in the moisture that blows off the side of the hood and windsheild, or worse, the mud when you're out playing.

I would either try to sell the fender and snorkel complete so the new owner doesn't have to modify his, and use the proceeds to buy a colour matched replacement for yours, or best case you could possibly find a guy with a spotless truck and trade fenders as part of the deal. Then you would just have to paint with the extra money you got for the snorkel.

Good Luck.

I think it would FIT the trucks look if you didnt have the TEXAS brushguard and the A/T tires. It would just as silly on many JEEPS it looks good on if they had street tires and a brushguard that doesnt fit the lines of the truck at all either. Looks very out of place looks wise....

Nice truck thougt, i wish mine was black.

Hey, I'd be interested in buying the setup from you. I have a '04 4.6 which is gray. Let me know if you're interested.
