Slow fuel gauge?
2004 fx4 non heritage
Had about 1/4 tank of fuel in it yesterday, went to fuel it up and the fuel gauge didn't move, it stayed at a quarter tank even though I topped it off! As I drove around the rest of the day it slowly rose to show I had a fuel tank! Guage going out? It usually jumps up to full right away after fueling!

i remember high-sulfur shell gasoline created that problem years ago (2004)..... now they fixed that and is the main gasoline i use.
but maybe you got some bad gasoline...
try running a full can of seafoam or stabilizer in your gasoline for a couple of fills and see if that helps.
