Default slight ticking question(5.4)

alright guys, i know this is beating a dead horse but i just have to ask. I have a 06 f150 5.4 with 97k miles. i had the cam phasers, chain, guides, vct solenoids etc replaced about 20k miles ago. the engine had been rattling a good amount. i am having a slight rattle again when i let off the gas pedal at low speeds. anyone else just have this slight rattle? engine runs great other than that, i also use full synthetic oil with motorcraft filter. it just seems like a characteristic of this engine.

What brand of phasers and timing components did you put in? Also, did you look at the lash adjusters and followers when you were in there, I found 13 lash adjusters out of 24 were bad on mine. I changed them all at the same time and 20,000 miles later, still no issues or sounds.

Everything was replaced. I had a reputable mechanic do the job. He replaced everything with ford parts. It's hard to explain the noise. Although I think the ultimate test with these engines is to put the truck in park and hold your foot on the gas just slightly past idle and if you have chain/ phaser issues you'll here the Engle clacking away. And mine is quite.

If you're referring a slight "tickatickaticka" when you let go of the pedal after a low acceleration, that's just the VCT system doing its job.
