Default Skid Plates on Lariat

Hello all, I have a question on some skid plates. I have a 2004 Screw Lariat that is stock as far as the suspension goes. Initially, I was looking for an FX4, but I found this Lariat I fell in love with and bought it instead. That being said, I am not very sure on this, but I thought the FX4's came with skid plates for the trans and such, at least as an option. Being that my Lariat doesn't have them but has the same suspension as an FX, can I add factory ones and where can I find them? Thanks guys.

You should have no problems at all. If you can find the plates in a parts yard they usually use factory mounting holes.

They were available for the 04 Lariat but only as an option. I purchased them for my truck at the time for $160.

Cool deal. By any chance, do you have a picture of where they mount? I'm going to lift mine up later to replace my fuel filter and check it out while I'm under there.

No sorry man I don't.. The plates may have been an option but I doubt the mounting holes were, I think you should be fine.

I can tell you the rear one bolts on the frame just in line with the fuel filter because i usually have to move it out of the way to change mine out.

No problems there. That is kinda what I figured but I will just look myself. I know there is the front one, covering I think the front diff and trans and transfer case, and I'm pretty sure there is a fuel tank one too, is there any others than those?

There's the front, transfer case and fuel tank. Think I only got the front and transfer case, not sure.
