Default siriusxm radio hook up

So my 06 f150 with standard raduo has sirius radio in it and I already have the antenna on top. And a box behind the factory radio. What do I need to get for my new radio to get the sirius radio to work

You mean a aftermarket radio? Need nothing. The factory end of the factory sat radio antenna; just unplug it from the box, undo the harness clip on the end of it so you just have the circular peace of the antenna and plug into new radio. Works as is.

The box behind the radio is the tuner and you do not need anything plugged into the new radio.

You will have to go online or call to change the radio. I did mine right on my mobile after I hooked it up. After read the directions for you aftermarket radio to find where you Radio ID number is. Once you have that, just plunk it online and within few minutes new radio shall work

I do not have a circular plug. Behind my stock radio there is a box that a couple wires go into a plug and hook into the back of my stock radio

Mine has something like that too. I don't have Sat Radio, but you should only have to set your factory radio to Aux.

My question is. What do I have to do or what should I do or get for my aftermarket radio to run the sat radio with the factory satellite antenna

The guy that had the truck before me had Sirius, left the antenna, the sirius mount, power and all. If I had the Sirius brains, I only would to use the Aux setting on the radio.

I am confused on this. My new radio is siriusxm ready meaning it is a sat tuner. And I want to use the factory sat antenna

Providing its same as my truck, its a yellow square plug that goes into the factory tuner box. Its a singlw black cable. You can pop the plastic end off it and be left with the proper male end thats coming straight from the antenna.

Im not at computer but I thought I took pics when I instled my radio. Im pretty sure thw other harness that pluga into the factory box can be left.

The antenna end is on the right side iirc.
