Default side exit exhaust from local shop

Im going to get a exhaust from our local muffler shop and had a couple questions. I want to have it come out in the stock location and a single, but would a 3" pipe with a good high flow muffler be good or should i go with a smaller size? Are their any problems im going to run into with this? any suggestions would be great.

That depends on your stock exhaust. While I don't know off hand what diameter pipe is on there,I do know this. If it has 2.5" exhaust, stepping up to 3" atthe muffler will not gain anything. Neither will adding a larger diameter tailpipe. Stick with factory size or buy a catback.

So a 3" cat back would be the best option? Is it going to be annoying at certain speeds? Does anybody have a similar system?
