That is one badass truck man.

Best bet at this point is to get that black truck running with the transplant motor... I wouldn't swap the body personally, because I am partial to black..
Once the black truck is running, sell the white truck and pour that cash all over the black truck... If color is a big deal then I suggest painting it... If you cannabalize 2 trucks you will make less money with more work at resale IMHO..
For what you would make on that white truck at sale, you could lift, put 37's on and possibly even build the newer good motor up with some money to spare, while still having something to drive..

If you take what you want from the white truck and then sell it, you could come out of this smelling like a rose. Good luck bro! I will be watching.

I completely agree. Imho a body swap is a waste of money and man hours. Plus the lariat interior is nice. Ill never own an xlt. Custom paint is just a sweet side effect

Yea the body swap idea is a long shot and im not sure if I want to tackle that project. Plus I agree swapping the bodies would probably lower the value of the trucks. Also once someone looks up the VIN the body swapped black truck would come up as a lariat 4x4 with the 5.4l but after the swap it would be an xl 4x2 with the 4.6L like my white truck.

First thing is first and thats getting the new motor back into the black truck. It will take some time because before that happens I need to rebuild it. Im taking it all apart and starting with the bare block. I want to replace the main crank bearings, piston rings and all the little things along the way so I know I have a good motor to work with. Plus im not very knowledgeable of people putting bigger cams in these motors. Anyone have any experience with that? I want to do a stage 2 comp cam with new springs and cam phaser limiter. I found that info on their site but im still new to that idea. Ill update this as it moves along.

P.S. that blue is really sick looking. Whos truck is that?

Might be running by the next meet but I would still probably take the white one up to Orlando. Idk I'm playing this all one day at a time lol

Just some more pics of the good 5.4. Got all the parts ready to order just waiting on the title for the black truck. I gave the guy a down payment to get the title so as soon as I get it the build starts.

I vote you skip all of the fancy VCT modifications and internal modifications of the engine and do a straight supercharger. Remember Blown Ford is running 12psi on a stock engine... well mostly stock I know he has a humongous list of everything he has done. I feel he will post a response to this thread shortly though.
