Default SI/DO Magnaflow Exhaust too quiet

I have an 06 f-150 with the 5.4. I am running a Spectre CAI and I put a SI DO Magna-flow exhaust on last week. It is not much louder than stock. I don't know what model the exhaust is because I bought it used for $100. Should i hollow the cats out? I have a programmer on the way and no emission testing. I just would like a louder deep rumble but I want to avoid popping. Thanks in advance.

Replace the muffler with one of these,

Doesn't really muffle anything, but it cuts the back flow so it doesn't pop real loud.

Try dynomax bullet. They are only $50 bucks off amazon and have a straight thru design. With almost no drone. And no popping.

I agree with the Dynomax Bullet. I have one on my truck and I think it's the 18" length. I got it a little longer than what other people do because I did a side exit exhaust so the "muffler" had to be placed farther forward under the cab so it'd be louder as a result. It's perfectly loud but not too loud and no droning. If you like it really loud get the 12" length.

The Bullets technically are not a muffler, they're a glasspack straight pipe.

You think you won't get any popping from that?

My part number was 24222. And if you search 3" dynomax side exit on you tube. There is a black 5.4l ford that sounds exactly like mine.

First off you want Dynomax Race Bullet. Different part numbers because of different setups. What size pipe are you running with your magnaflows? The size will dictate what diameter bullet you will need. The length is going to "tune" your sound, shorter is louder and longer is quieter.

There are lots of you tube clips for the dynomax bullet on F-150's.
