Default Shudder between 40-50MPH

Whether my truck is hot or cold it seems the transmission shudders. I've searched but had little luck finding something that pertains to me. When I turn O/D off the problem goes away completely. Being on a tight budget, I would like to start with the cheapest fix or maintenance and work my way from there. Any input would be greatly appreciated fellas!

Like the others said above, a little more info would help out.

Does it shudder only under acceleration or through cruise as well? If it's under load it's likely a misfire, but if it's shuddering regardless of throttle position it may be the emergency brake needs to be adjusted. Just a few ideas to narrow down the cause.

These are relatively cheap and simple to diagnose. Good luck!

Sorry guys still new to the forum thing. It's a 2007 lariat screw 4x4 with the 5.4 triton. There are no check engine lights or codes to pull up. Idk if it does it in cruise control because I don't use it at all. It will only do it under light acceleration between 1k-2k RPMs. From all the information I've been provided all necessary service has been done in a timely manner including spark plugs but I don't know how well I trust that list

Do you know when the plugs were changed or how many miles are on your current set?

I'm thinking either bad plug or a coil.

I had the same problem.

I replaced the foam gasket around the air filter tray and the issue went away.
