That's a good looking Ford 4x4. I used to sell those Fords back in the early nineties. We rarely had a good used Ford 4x4 on the lot. Good trucks, and they always sold quick. The 5.0 is awesome and so is that inline 6. I don't know why they aren't putting manuals in the half ton trucks anymore.

Install
The leveling kit was installed by Les Schwab. They did a fine job. (had to order part, but not tires, no dents, rattles, odd noises, or braking or handling issues)
Alignment
They include an alignment as part of the package. According to their specs, it was not aligned once the kit was added.
They support our local little league big time, so I try to support them when I can. Dropped it off at 8a, done by 10:30a.
First look
Well it's not as tall as some trucks out there. By a long shot. But it's a lot taller than others. It's fairly level with a very slight difference (rear higher). That's ok.
The tires are aggressive looking and I can't wait to find a local mud pit.
Wife likes it more.
First drive
Covering the first feet the tires rattle a little then the tires settle into a nice hum barely audible without the windows down. The tires I had on were some Kumho STX(?) 32 in tall road tires which had of course had better dry road characteristics. No rub at max turn.
Performance
Acceleration from stop is diminished. Mileage probably down(?). (I have 3.55s). 45, 55, 65 MPH did not notice dis-similar RPMs yet.
Overall
I am really happy with this decision. The cost was minimal compared with a lift, gears, and 35s or 37s, and I don't foresee needing 35s or 37s ever.
Next mods
Paint, carpet (living room), remodel kids' bedrooms. Keep wife happy. LOL. Maybe a hidden winch.

runnin 33s With no lift or leveling kit
with a 4.56 gear ratio and it gets about 15-18 mpg with a 5.0 out a mustang GT after i put some parts on it before it wasnt that pretty and a 5 Speed manual but the low gears make it top out at about 60 miles per hour

Also, my limited slip went (or is going) out and need to replace very soon. Should I consider upgrading gear ratio while I am at it? If I ever lift it, i want to go with 35s.

I am also running 33's with no lift or leveling kit on an 01. I believe with 3:55. I would consider a leveling kit if it would make a difference in height. I am concerned the wear and tear disadvantage would out-weigh the benefit of the enhanced look.
