A local guy is selling these for only $100 brand new

His craigslist posting says they'll fit super crew 4door and I told him I'd pick them up Monday. However ever some research I discovered these were made for a supercab.

The only difference I can see in pictures Is the grip part is a bit longer on the super crew version.

Should these be okay for my 2004 lariat super crew cab?

I can't find too much info on exact length and such

I don't have a definitive answer but I know that the steps mount to the inside of the rocker panels. The super cab is shorter and therefore the mounting brackets may not line up with your super crew. Maybe test for it before handing over the cash

^^How is that confusing? Every year 04-08 says "extended cab". I say no, they wont fit.

it's confusing because of how often ford changes the cab length. One year would fit next year won't will fit again model years later. Prob not accurate listed compatibility. I'll just have to go check them out.

All 04-08 regular cabs are the same length, all 04-08 extended cabs are the same length, all 04-08 Supercrew cabs are the same length. Unless you are talking about the 04 Heritage. Sure they can have 3 different bed lengths, but that has no effect on cab length.

Oh crap I'm sorry, for some reason I was seeing lariat as super crew in my mind. Been up all night and day working ha.

I went ahead and got them. Figured if they didn't fit i could resell them. Got them for a great price.

The box said they would fit super crew 2004+

turns out, they didn't. the back bracket didn't have a place to go.

so i drilled a few holes, and finally got them attached.
