I just did the kbb with everything it has without adding for the warrior package and wheels and got this...

Warrior package means nothing, its not a factory package. It has over 100K and they want over $23,000? Not in a million years for this guy. But then again, you have a 04 with 170K and I assume the 5.4 motor. I would be looking for something else, just not that Warrior truck.

Id say that's a fair price. People don't realize how much location comes into play on the used car/truck market.

The warrior package is a lift, wheels, tires, and stickers. Sorry, for 23,000 you can buy a better truck. 113,000 miles is too much for that price.

OK I appreciate all the help. It's a long shot that I could even smoothly transition the financing over, so it's looking like it's not gonna happen. They do have a lot of very clean trucks down here in SC maybe I'll look at a few more... I've never seen so many perfect cab corners on screws before haha...

We are similar in location... Long Island here where there is a lot of rust and I didn’t want to buy anything near locally.

Ended up finding my truck on Autotrader in Tennessee, basically rust-free and it's a 2004. Shipping to my door was about $700. https://www.f150forum.com/f4/first-t...stions-309250/

Determining price is tough. 100,000 seems to be the sweet spot when it comes to price. Less miles make the price go way up, more and it seems to level off. That is a 3 year old truck though!

Your first post stated that the warrior has a 6.2l in it yet the website link you put in says it's a 5.0 XLT, frankly it's a lot of money for what you are getting and in the long run I think you will be disapointed since this is a truck that is already built and not of your own design and over priced, a lot of times with built up trucks you tend to have issues becuase of the mods like this has and if you pay 23k for it AND you live how many thousands of miles away from where you purchased it USED that you may regret it sooner than later.
I agree that you should be considering a newer truck for sure since yours has a few quirks to it but they all do and that's part of why we love our own trucks like we do. I think you'd prob be much happier getting a factory truck that you can customize how YOU want it to be and have the pride of doing this.

And I bought my 08 Lariat used with 74k on it for $22k 3 years ago and couldn't be happier with what I ended up with.

IMHO

OK I have more info as I wasn't there to look for myself the other day. I was helping a friend try to look at an 06 they had. I went back today and looked at it again. It is a 5.0L 6-speed. It's in really nice shape, 0 rust, has an extremely clean interior. 1 owner, clean carfax, has 113k miles which is a lot but has to be all highway. The lift kit is not why I'm interested. I've been looking at what these trucks are selling for even without the lift and they are on the low end of that with their asking price. I think I talked them into giving me 10k for my 04 in trade which is very generous. As of now I'm approved for the loan with an added extended powertrain warranty, and my payments are exactly the same as with my 04. It's looking like a good deal in the long run at this point. Although if they don't change the tires it will be a deal breaker. I need some all terrains, I hate mud tires on asphault...
