They are giving great info and I agree with them. I think you should try the tuner before spending money on the valve body though. Mine shifts hard enough to chirp the belt and break the tires loose on wet pavement.

personally the tuner wasnt enough for me, so after gears go in down the road ill reassess and maybe install a shift kit if needed, but thats just me

Honestly Im pretty sure it aint gonna be enough for me either. Im trying to get this tank going with out dropping in a new powerplant, so Im doing everything short of a blower or turbo. I want the tuner to be the last thing I do because when I order custom tunes I want to take in to account everything I have done to get the maximum results possible. If Im lucky, with it being na, I want to try to get 300hp/350tq to the wheels........... remember the Michael Jordan commercials "Hey it can happen"?

I got a pretty fat re-enlistment bonus on the way so Im doing all this at once. I will do a build thread with lots of before and after pics and dyno sheets.

i was told that looking into a new torque converter makes a lot of differance if you plan on dropping some power. again not sure how some years are set up but sounded like your dropping in new motor i would get one since its apart cant hurt.
