Ahhh thanks man I got it now. So I need to buy struts for the front and just normal shocks for the rear?

That's correct. And I replaced my struts and shocks myself. Rent the spring compressors from autozone. It honestly isn't that hard. All I did was look it up on YouTube I think and it was that simple

Watch a couple videos on YouTube and you'll see it's pretty simple with spring compressors and an impact gun.
One thing they don't seem to mention, is on disassembly, you should pay close attention to how the top cap and spring, line up with the strut body. The mounting bolts on the top aren't spaced evenly and need to line up with the holes on the top mounting bracket (tower) on your truck.
One more thing, I would stay away from buying the "Monroe quick struts" if you can. The spring that they use is smaller in diameter and your truck will actually sit lower with those struts installed. Don't waste your money.
I've also read where you should use the factory spring with the Rancho quick lift strut to achieve the full height.

Yeah the two bolts go towards the front and the one goes straight in the back. I had to have the shop realign my top cap cuz they didnt put it on right even though i marked it to line up with the bottom strut bolt opening. Overall, its not a hard or awful procedure.

7 lug wheels are made for the heavy duty version F-150...they will not fit a reg F-150 our lugs are 6 on 135...and if you buy the 5100's to replace your front struts...remove your level and set the leveling struts to the highest position...if not you will be wasting your money. the 5100's for the rear are just normal shocks.

I know the 7 lugs are made for the heavy duty, I have one. I'm not sure if the struts are the same for both was what I meant to say. Sorry for the confusion.

What do you guys recommend as a good strut that isn't a lifting strut? Can you post up some links?

If you have never used a spring compressor before, be safe and take them to a shop. First (and only time I used a spring compressor) I wish I had taken them to a shop. Whatever you chose to do, be safe and happy wrenching. When my tires go, I am going with the Bilstien 5100 up front.
