I got my truck stuck Friday in mud almost body deep and was moving back and forth about a trucks length. After several attempts i went forward and then could not get it to go in reverse. A buddy of mine winched me out and towed me home. Today its been pouring down rain and i havent had a chance to get under it toget a good look at it, but i did reach under it and manually put it in park to start it. I can only shift into drive with shifter and have to manually shift it to park or reverse. all gears work when shifted manually. Hope that makes sense.. Ill try to get under it tomorrow to see if i can see anything wrong but some direction on what im looking for would be handy...

Just bad timing... Cable was melted almost into two pieces, replaced cable and all is well....
Now to try that hole again!!!
