Default shaky steering wheel?

ok so ever cents i bought my 2008 f150 5.4...the wheel always pulled to the left going highway speeds (65-80) and then started shaking about 4 months ago, and then started to just get worse. The wheel shakes really bad when i merge on the enterstate in the moning when i go to work and when i leave so when its cold and not wormed up yet thats when its the worse, it seems to get a little better as i go down the enterstate, then I bought a set of KMC Slides 22" yesterday and its now shaking the worse it ever has and pulling harder than ever, im out of ideas and fed up with this...the truck only has 41,000 miles on her and i love truck! just hate the shaky pullin stuff...if any one has ideas or has had these semptomes i would love to here ur input.. sorry for the grammer im doing this from my iphone.. thanks fellas

is everything tight underneath? have you had anything replaced anything recently? Were the tires balanced?

i got ya lol yea unbalanced or improperly balanced tires can cause a shake in the steering wheel. a miss alignment would cause more of a pull or wander to one side or another, not so much of a vibration in the wheel. but i could be wrong. I would start with having the tires balanced. its possible a wheel weight could have fallen off of one of the tires too. if youre saying everything is nice and tight i would check there.

have the tires balanced, and the alignment checked. wheel bearing could be a suspect to, mine shook around 70.

ahh i knew i forgot something lol wheel bearing is a definite check. lift the truck up and try moving the wheel side to side. if you have excessive movement you may want to have your bearings checked.

I bought a used 07 Expedition last year. Same thing. Shaking at 70 mph+ or so. Brought it back to dealership. Wheels just needed to be balanced. But the pulling symptom makes me think alignment. Either way, its probably nothing you can do yourself.... just bring it in.

Is the pulling some-what severe?
