Cool Shakes when idling

I know this thread has probably been done before....I have an '08 King Ranch 5.4l. I have cleaned the throttle body, MAF, and has a new air filter in it!and recent tune up. However, my truck shakes at idle. This is the only time that I notice it. It doesn't shake any other time. There isn't any hesitation in acceleration and I get decent fuel mileage. Any thoughts?

Check your cat. converters, the source of all sorts of weird troubles.

Mine just had all new timing chain guides and tensioners, timing chains, cam phasers, VCTs, plugs and boots changed, TB/MAF cleaned, oil + filter changed, and a new air filter put in. It still shakes a little at idle.

The only known problem with my truck is the COP on cylinder 2 bank 2 is going bad but is still functioning without throwing any codes.

I'm gonna go with "It's a truck". But that's just my $0.02. I hate the shaky idle as well. I'm curious to see what others say.

My truck does the same but only at a cold start. When it is idling at a light it sounds like it is going to turn off but it doesnt. Acceleration is a little rough as well. I press the gas pedal and it feels like there is no gas in the motor

"Shakes" as in it feels like it is going to cut off? How many miles are on the truck? and tune up do you mean you have all new plugs??

I've got an '04 STX SC and mine shakes when in idle. It's not bad, but it's sure as hell noticeable.

I honestly doubt it, but it's possible. Your issue with it and mine are similar, but my acceleration is fairly smooth, unlike how you said yours is. I would get your fuel injectors/filters cleaned. I spent $60 to have them do it after my inspection and the shaking while idling got less apparent and my acceleration improved as well.

Whats the best and easiest way to clean your throttle body? Can you spray throttle body cleaner when it is still on
