Default shackles vs blocks?

I've got a 2.5 leveling kit on the front of my 04 f 150 4x4 and will be adding and inch or so to the rear. I've looked around and seen people doing the suspension maxx shackles and others doing the rear blocks. What do you guys prefer? Both seem like a legitimate way to gain a little in the rear. I'm leaning towards the shackles now but wanted some opinions.

Shackles... That's what I'm switching mine out with.. I don't care for blocks at all...

anything is better than adding blocks.. add a leaf/shackels or new leaf packs..taller block contrubite to axle wrap.

Thanks guys! Is that your complaint with blocks king ranch? Blocks seem more common that's why I was asking. I'm going to order the shackles here shortly. I appreciate your insight gentleman!

Yep.. I have a 4 inch block... Gives me one hell of a sag and has sat low since the last time I towed.. I don't like for my springs to sit like this...

If I didn't tow or use the bed then I wouldn't care...

I will be towing this summer as well and the main reason I was looking to level up the back. Here's what I think I'm going to go with.

Since you know you will be towing and that's the reason you want to lift the back an add-a-leaf could be the way you want to go. Gives you a little lift and also increases load the springs can hold. Check out the how to section, tunaslayer did an install on them a while back.

Thanks for the insight, i won't be towing far and its just a boat so notsuper heavy like a box ttrail or or I would go that route. I also want to keep a factory ride. I actually picked up a set off craigslist tonight and got them on. Here's a few pics for anyone else looking to do the same.
