500-800$... No way... Thats crazy. I
Mean parts are $250 i think...

You mean the tool to take the broken spark plug out right?

Do you think I can drive like this a bit more or should I do it right away? I mean I know how to drive that the misfireing does not happen 😂😁

If plugs break, the dealer will charge you more for each one that breaks. I bought the Lisle tool from Amazon, used, to have just in case. My 08 had the "brown" boots which are the improved situation. If you have black, you will need the tool as a backup.

So yes, if plugs break, it will get very expensive at the dealer.

Ok, I see. So now I will need to get the spark plugs, coils and the tool. Which sparg plugs are the best? Maybe Motorcraft Platinum SP515? Which coils? "Regular" or the Accel coils?

This?

Note: If you take this task on, the spark plug change out, even though you are an above average "shade tree mechanic", you can end up in a world of hurt, should a piece of a broken plug drop into an open plug hole.

read, watch videos and read more about the different techniques used to remove these plugs!

I would just go back with standard motorcraft parts.

Yupp, I know its a risk.
From the technical understanding I dont think this should be a problem for me. But I'm still thinking of asking different service shops for prices. Even though, I dont have a compressed air agregat yet, so this might be a problem...

Yes, Motorcraft SP515 is the latest plugs. Just change out plugs you don't need to change out coils, coil can last a long long time. Some of my cars has 200K miles and still on OE coils.

I replaced my plugs at 73K miles and none broke on my 05.

the longer you drive with a mis- fire condition the worst your cats are getting damaged.

Anyone here in Delaware, Philadelphia Area, Baltimore, Washington DC Area who did it before or would like to help me?

I went to a dealer to ask about the costs. $575 if no plug breaks. $100 for each broken plug...

Another question: I am thinking of replacing the plugs from a dealer and replacing the coils by myself.

Is it a problem to replace the plugs, run it with the old coils and replace the coils 2 days later?

My issue is that I am not at home, so I dont have a workshop here where I can do everything by myself.
