Default Service and stumbling problem

Hi,

I have a 07 5.4L 98K and the truck really stumbles at around 40-60mphs below 1300RPM's. I was searching the forum for answers and I found also something I think. I just bought the truck 4 weeks ago. Its my first pickup. I was looking through the service reports today. Oil and filter seems to be changed reguarely but I did not found anything showing a replacement of the plugs or other parts which doesnt meant that they were not replaced at some point, but I dont have information about that. I really love this car and I would like to drive it for some years. As It has almost 100k now and I am facing the problem described above, are there any parts that needs to be replaced? I read something about spark plugs and spark coils might fix that problem... Any advice what I should do to keep my truck runing for a loooooong time?
Thank you for your answers!

clean the throttle body, an easy DIY project. Plugs can be a bear on some to remove, so before tackling read up on possible issues.

Replace fuel filter also.

Ok, I will have a look at the throttle body and clean it. Do I have to take off the airbox first or is there any other way which I dont see right now?

What do you mean with tune-up?

I had a stumble between gear shifts on my 06. After I changed the spark plugs it went away.

Yes... you need to remove your air cleaner and remove the throttle body itself to clean it properly...make sure you use throttle body cleaner and while your there clean you MAF with MAF cleaner...and by tune up...I mean plugs/fuel filter/air cleaner and the above mentioned items...may even need COP’s.

Cleaned the throttle body and MAF today. Throttle body was pretty dirty.

After a test drive I saw that the problem is still there. Next step is spark plugs and coils I guess?
What do you think?

I was watching videos on YouTube last night how other guys replaced their spark plugs and coils. To be honest, I am a little afraid how often the spark plugs break. Usually I do most of the things by myself on my car and motorcycle, but 7 of 8 broken plugs in one of the videos...??? :-/

I was thinking of maybe just buy the parts and ask a auto service shop to replace them.
Any idea how much it would cost???

Thanks

Dealer ships charge like 500-800 for plug change.

Do it yourself get the tool, and ull be golden
