Default Serpentine Belt Replacement....

So... my serpentine belt is cracked in many places and needs replacement. Is it easy to do? Or should I pay the $150 to have someone else do it? Thanks in advance!

Go for it. Check the idler pulleys while the belt is off.

One of the easiest do it yourself things you can do. Pay $25 and do it. $150 to have someone else do it is a rip off.

All you need is a basic ratchet set.

You mentioned checking the idler pulleys when off... what am I looking for when checking them?

That they spin freely/smoothly and have no slack or wobble.

What he said^ super easy to do, go to autozone and rent the serpentine tensioner pulley wrench to make it easy on you. For sure check all idlers, two of mine were shot when I changed the belt

The Youtube video definitely helped! I didn't take 4 minutes to do it (about 30), as squeezing my arm in there was a little tricky, but with the breaker bar that I had to go buy, and the video, and feedback from all you guys, it was A LOT less intimidating to do myself. Total spend was $42 ($9.99 for the breaker bar, and $31 for the belt). Thank you again for your help and information guys!

I actually had a really hard time with it. I couldn't get my hand deep enough to get it around the crank. But, none the less, it was a 45 minute job.
