Seafoaming Vacuum Lines?

Seafoaming Vacuum Lines?
Just doing a little maintenance on my 2006 FX4 scab this week. New vacuum line solenoid, new cv axle, blah blah blah. Was thinking about seafoaming the vacuum lines while I was messing around. Anyone done this before and had good results? I've seafoamed the gas tank before but heard its beneficial to seafoam the vacuum lines to remove carbon deposits and any other gunk in the motor. Where would it be best to introduce the seafoam into the motor? Any info would help!

I used 1/2 a can of seafoam and poured it into a cup so the vacuum line can suck it out. This is done while the truck is running and at normal temperature. Make sure someone is keeping it at idle while the seafoam Is being sucked into the line because the truck will want to bogg down. After all seafoam is sucked out let the truck die/or turn off and wait 5-10 minutes then start her up and take her for a good 10 minute road trip while getting on the gas as much as possible. White smoke will come out but that's normal with this procedure.

bourgeois1269, were you conserned about vapor lock when you did the treatment? That and smoking out my angry neighbor have held me back from seafoaming my truck.

On the seafoam website they do warn that vapor lock is an issue so you want to monitor the amount of seafoam that enters the engine. I believe they stated 1/3 of a bottle into the vacuum lines with the engine running at normal temperature. I'm starting to think I should probably wait until summer since it has gotten above 10 degrees here for the last week

I've done it a couple of times over the years and never had a problem. The smoke only lasts a few seconds. I think 1/3 of a can is correct and probably on the safe side.

I pulled the vacuum hose off of the brake booster.

Why was I under the impression that you could use the Seafoam in the spray bottle to just spray this stuff into the vacuum line? Is that not a recommended method, or is the spray some different formulation?
Just seems like the spray might alleviate the vapor lock problem? Please tell me if I wrong...
