I don't think the animal rights folks are going to be happy with us extracting foam from seals....

I tried the Seafoam treatment last week and was unimpressed, had the white smoke but really haven't noticed a change in performence.

After looking at the pics of spark plugs that have had several tanks treated and the vac line procedure done I still see a butt-load of carbon on the ends of the plugs.

Haha the poor things! I hear you have to subject them to 10 years of slave labor and beatings before they will produce the foam!

I thought they were rabid seals foaming at the mouth. Dang now I have to go find the MSDS and chemistry of seal slobber.

Yesterday I knew I was gunna be driving around a lot so I threw about half a can or more into my tank and I think I noticed a difference. It feels smoother and sharper

Funny thing about SeaFoam, is its a cleaner. If you have a dirty valves and piston tops, it may show some improvement if used properly.
If your engine is clean enough that carbon is not hurting performance, you will not notice a difference when you use it.

It can not fix worn rings that will give you low or uneven compression
It can not fix a manifold leak that is causing a lean condition

Its just a carbon cleaner, and It does work to an extent if used properly.

Techron is excellent and most agressive. Gumout is excellent and most agressive. B12 is great and seems to add performance immediately. Isopropyl types of gas treatment are great and also dry the fuel. Seafoam is safe and can be used several ways, if used following directions. Following directions is the key. Using the brand you choose in a planned repitition is the key. 1 can may help, but used as a preventative is best for overall life of the engine. An engine let go until a complete mess and the operator can only hope his product choice helps it. Driving style/needs are the number one detriment. Unfortunately most rigs idle around alot and actually have a hard time getting into the 30 + miles per hour of driving average. This leads to a lot of gunk in the intake system. Even in the covers of the motor. Some motors are ruined by this gunk coming loose and clogging causing oil problems to parts. I have pulled apart motors that were so filthy I wore PPE just to protect myself from the filthy beast. Granted these were very old motors, still they could have been better taken care of, not neglected until junk.
