Thumbs up SD Wheel Corp Review / my new Fuel wheels

I have made hundreds and hundreds of purchases on line for car parts as I have a mustang that runs low 10's at the track and I break a lot of parts! I ususally purchase from bigger companies like Summit Racing because I know they will always come through on shipping and price. As far as trucks go I'm new to this stuff and never really bothered till I bought my 07 supercrew FX4. Now I'm addicted! I have added weathertech digital mats and a edge color programmer.

I decided I was going to upgrade the wheels. I'm a sucker for the black on black and wanted to make mine a bit different. I shopped and shopped till I decided on Fuel wheels.

I bought 285/65/18 Terra Grapplers on Fuel Throttle whels with +20 offset. THey stick out just the right amount. I wanted the Trails but I do a lot of ice and snow driving and towing the race car. The grapplers are nicer than I espected and make zero road noise. THe extra sidewall makes for a WAY smoother ride. THey are actually taller than my 275/55/20's I had. I went with a smaller size than I could have but I do not have a level. My truck barely fits under my garage door and having -30 temps here in winter I wasnt going to sacfifice that!

I happened to start a conversation with SD Wheel Corp. out of Illinois and I'm glad I did. I'm a Canadian customer and a picky one to boot. With a list of demands they easily fullfilled my request. I was super impressed by the service I recieved and the even better pricing. Shipping details were crucial because I had to drive 5 hours return trip to get the package but there were zero hiccups. Here are a list of things I was impressed about when dealing with them:

1) Communication! Answered all my questions promptly and fully. I had no concerns spending that much $$$ with a company I had never dealt with.

2) Shipped when they said and packaged it on a pallet - zero damage!

3) rims arrived in perfect condition - no scratches, no damage from mounting, wheel weights (very little) on inside

4) Everything was included - mounting / balancing, lug nuts (correct ones and all there!), decals, bill of sale etc

5) not sure if they are included with wheels but they used awesome metal valve stems - not cheap chrome plated or rubber ones

6) had TPMS installed.......they actually worked and did not have to reset at dealer

7) PRICE........they kicked everyone else's prices (I spent weeks looking - ebay, rimzone, tirerack etc)

Overall I'm very happy and would highly recommend them for a tire / wheel purchase!

I also recommend them highly. I bought my rim/tire package from them and they had the best price and good communication. My rims arrived all scuffed up in shipping though and they fixed it quickly. Would def buy from them again

Looks good, but you should still get a level. Looks and feels much better. Mine fits in standard 7 foot garage with 2 inch level and 315/70/17 (35s) so you would still easily fit. If the rear of your cab fits it will still fit with level. Do it. Best money you can spend in my opinion.

THey are awesome, pictures don't do them justice. If money wasnt an issue I'd go with the 20"'s if I were to do it again. That said these things bolted right up with zero rubbing issues which is exactly what I wanted.

I installed my weathertech mudflaps today and only had to trim a bit of the inside corner on the front ones for full lock.

Man the price difference is a quite a bit an that has me not knowing what I wanna go with... What width did you go with? I gotta get the 10" wide cause I want a lot of tire sticking out... So ethier 285/65/18 on 18x10 -24mm or a 295-305/55/20 on a 20x10... Trail grapplers

2.5 may leave you nose high. The 06-08 generally only need a two inch to get level.

I also ordered my wheels from sd wheel corp. Ups lost one of my wheels. It took a few extra weeks but they did make it right and sent me another wheel.

that sucks but I have had nothing but bad luck with UPS. I was super worried about damage. SD used a carrier called Lakeville Motor Express. What made me really happy was that the extras like the lug nuts were properly packaged. Usually I get my parts with boxes ripped open and stuff missing and then have to spend days searching for replacements. For once something went right lol!
