Default scraping noise ( please help)

I've been here several times just looking around. Now I desperately need some help. I have an 06' XLT. There is this loud metallic scraping sound when I get up to about 50mph while accelerating but, stops immediately when I let off the gas. Changed drivers left hub assembly about 2 months ago. This new sound just started today. So I was sure it was the other side going out. Sadly 200 bucks and 1 hour later it still makes this horrible noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just did a hub assembly replacement myself on the passenger side, today actually. My bearings in the assembly were gone Which does cause some noise.... How many miles do you have on the truck?

Any vibration? Can you tell at all where the sound is coming from? Pull off your drive shaft and take a good look at your U-joints, the slip yoke, and the output shaft. Also might want to consider checking the oil / oil levels in your transfer case, transmission, and differential housing. If you have time, drop the transmission pan and get a good look at the magnet and pray that it's clean. (While you're in there might as well go ahead and replace the filter.)

I also see you have a CAI... put your stock intake back on and see what happens.

2WD or 4WD? If $WD, start researching about the vacuum system for that.
