save me from ford prices!
ok... so here's the condensed version
i modded the factory intake on my 07 f150.... dad saw it and flipped.... "fix it" said he.... called dealership.... $316 and some change to get new one....
called dealership and the guy rambled off some part numbers but when i type them in to search for them i get nothing. here's what he gave me
6L3Z9600BA <-- housing
4L3X9G843A <-- hose connecting housing to hole in side of truck
i'm hoping someone who got a CAI can help me out and sell me their old factory intake. i don't care what it looks like as long as it looks "factory" (according to crazy dad standards). anyone who can help please let me know.
all help is greatly appreciated

ok well i dont' want people thinking i'm a moron or anything.
i'll post a pic of what i did to my intake.
yeah i did claim to get 100 miles more per tank, but that's what i read in the guages. i wasn't making up numbers or anything. but then i took a look back on the situation and figured i really was seeing an increase in gas mileage and performance but that it was also caused by many things at once. my truck was brand new and it was being broken in. figured this would help performance and elsewhere. sorry if i sounded like a moron when posting the 100 miles thing. it is what the guages said and i did get it, but i don't think it was all because of the chop shop i did on my housing.
i do get really good acceleration at any time though. i can keep up with lots of trucks and cars (even with my 4.2). i think there's a performance difference and a gas mileage difference.

That wouldn't be so bad if you could make something to isolate the hot air from the engine compartment. I'm no mechanic or anything but it seems like it may help.
Where did you mount the O2 sensor?
Check out what this guy did with a trash can and some weather stripping.
