Default Salt Damage on Chrome

So I will be buying a 2007 F150 Harley Davidson edition rather soon.
It's overall in very good condition for the price but it does have some salt damage on some chrome. Mainly just the chrome on the mirrors, door handles and emblems.
Is there any way I can repair the salt damage? Or will I just have to replace the chrome? If I have to replace it, does anybody know where I could find replacements, possibly a dealership? And new emblems, where could I find those?

How bad is it? Rusted -pitting, or just surface rust
Many people and it down & paint it/dip it
Alum foil works good on surface rust....if its thru the chrome the rust will come back

It doesn't actually seem to be a rust. The chrome just looks foggy and yellowish. My mechanic said it'd be best to replace it, just figured I'd double check though. The truck was from the east coast of Canada so it's salt water damage, not road salt. Should have mentioned that.
I'll be able to get pictures of it once I buy the truck later this week or early next week.

Just replace it. You will pay a ton from the stealership for all that plastic. If it were me, I would be checking out ebay.

Depending how bad I'd spend few bucks and try can of Eagle One Never Dull first. I've seen it shine up some pretty bad looking chrome before. Not a complete fix, but inexpensive route and then decide if you want to replace or live with not so perfect chrome.

Is that something I'd be able at Part Source or Napa? I'm from Canada and I'm not sure if that's an America only brand or not

Look up using Coca Cola to clean chrome on youtube. It would be just a temporary fix I'm guessing.

The chrome polish is temporary also. Ever since I put my wide tires on, my handles take a beating from the salt plastering the side of my truck. I can buff them, but it doesn't last very long, and you can tell up close that they are pitted.

I've found a set of door/tailgate handles and the chrome half covers for my mirrors on amazon for about $90 total. Gonna check ebay for the harley davidson gas cap
