This is an FYI for the guys waiting on new Saleen s331 grill production.

I called Saleen a few weeks ago and asked to be put on a pre-order list for a new s331 grill when more were produced. They took my name and said they would let me know.

Well, today I get a call and the guy says he is ready to take my card info because they will be shipping in about 4 weeks. He tells me they have made some "changes" to the price. Instead of $149, the price is now $299. Ouch!

I went ahead and gave them my card simply because there is no other grill out there that speaks to my tastes. I guess they have guys like me by the *****, and can charge double the original price. Anything over $300 and I would have jumped ship, so I guess they priced it right.

Anyone else in my shoes?

Wow they really jacked the price up on them, I'm glad i got mine when they were 170. To me 300 is way too much for them.

I got the call too. Doubling the price... Wow. I said I would call them back to think it over.

Too much money!! I say everybody should just boycott the saleen grill until they drop the price¡....

Not trying to start any trouble here, but its the only way to combat their leverage with the low supply and high demand..

I recieved the call as well. $299 plus shipping mind you and 4-5 weeks out. i told them i would contact them back äs well but im not going to, thats just nuts.

Yeah they called me too, I'm not too comfortable with giving people my credit card number over the phone, so I said I'll call them In a couple of weeks. 300 is a lot of money but damn those grills are nice.

I gave them my number because I was caught off guard and didn't want to lose my spot on "the list," but I'm considering cancelling my order as well. That's just an insane amount for such a simple part.

I keep going back and forth though, because where else can you find a grille that nice looking? They said they would call me back before they charge the card, and they don't have my shipping address yet. I guess I have some time to think it over.
