Default sad day

Well this happened last Saturday.. Finally had to put the explore to rest .. Bought it brand new in 03 very minor repairs in the 10 yrs of ownership.. woman in the bravda ran a red light. Luck was on our side my wife only got minor injuries a broken wrist and a bump on her head. Our 11 yr old daughter not a scratch.. And a state trooper witnessed the accident. Just replaced it today with a 2013 equinox

Well I'll be the first to say not a Chevy fan by any means.. the dealership I work for sells ford and chevys plus some import crap that I didn't even consider for a new vehicle.. not impressed with the new explorer or price for that matter.. the equinox is a legit SUV.. 32k sticker which I stole for 19300. With every option but leather.. The 10 and up equinoxes with the 4cyc are hardly ever in for any repairs .. would of rather kept the 03 with a actual truck frame but those days are past us so that's my reasoning only Chevy I'd even consider of ever owning.. Thank you for your concern she's doing well a little sore and hates the cast makes cake decorating extremely difficult but she's a trooper and I threw in a helping hand to get 5 cakes out this weekend.. But I'll stick to what I do best lol definitely don't have the knack for doing delicate cakes

So the Exploder had too much frame impact on that corner? It hides it well. The newer Fords are really under impressing me with the failing parts left and right. My 06 F150 is ten times worse than my 97 Ranger about things going wrong and I know the newer ones are just as bad in studies so I don't blame you jumping ship.

If this were true my 09 (first year of production to boot) F150 would be failing left and right. It's got 87K miles and it gets used as a work pickup without any issues. Sometimes there are lemons, it's a gamble you take with a machine made of a lot of parts.

To the OP, glad you and your family were okay! On a side note, my grandma had an Equinox and someone ran a stop sign and hit her left side. Didn't even look bad but totaled it. Not a bad car to drive though. Beat of luck.

There was no frame damage just a lot of sheet metal and Dr front suspension damage so progressive decided they wanted to total it got 8 grand for it .. I almost bought it back to fix it myself but I spend enough time in a garage so finding time was a factor and no matter what would of been branded a R title.. Really hated to see it go but what can u do
