rusting like crazy...
i have several spots above my rear wheel wells and my rear cab corners are almost gone through. Everything under the truck looks like it has been sitting at the bottom of the ocean for 10 years. It would be different if I didnt take care of this truck like I do. It gets washed once a week, and fully waxed in the spring and the fall.
I am pretty disappointed that I am going to have $2k or more in rust repair on a 10 year old truck this summer. sorry thats my rant of the day.

I got the bed rust fixed in November and it was back in December. So pissed.
I got a quote for $2600 to replace both sides and paint it. Im considering just finding another white bed and throwing it on, Ive found a few for $1200 or less.
Theres also a little rust on the insides of the front fenders.

Yes, the town I live in has used the liquid ice melt the last 2 winters. And that is when everthing started to go bad.
And no, I do not have any extra under coating other than the basic junk they spray on at the factory.

Me too , just the box. I have been very diligent about trying to keep the rust away but when they start rusting they go fast. Putting a different box on it this summer after I'm done hauling wood this spring .

Rusting too!
If you heat your garage, or where ever you store it in the winter, that's the reason for the more than average rust. My garage isn't heated unless I turn it on to do something. But it stays not much colder than freezing even on the coldest Minnesota nights. That's not cold enough to keep the salty crap from flowing! Been told to leave it outside in the cold so the salt doesn't liquefy as easily. So, it's rusting away slowly!

I got a spot fixed last month. It was a stone chip that needed to be addressed before it got bad.
P.S. I'm in Rotterdam too. There's a lot of rust in this town. The town should pay for our repairs for the taxes we pay!!!
