Default Running problems

Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum but I got a question on a problem I am having. I own an 06 F150. It had gotten to were I had to put it in neutral when I would come to a stop & rev the engine to keep it from dieing. I have changed the fuel filter & it got alittle better but, got worsw quicker. It only does it when the engine is warm. I found the battery was going bad so, I pulled one out of one of my other vehicles. Now it will run for an hr or 2 before it starts acting up. I've now ordered a fpdm. I was going to replace that anyway. I've found no vacuum leaks & I've checked the intake filter. Can any one give me any ideas? Thanks

Ok... I cleaned the MAF & the throttle body. Now it is acting like it did when I started having the problem. Meaning it's doing it still but, not nearly as bad. Any other ideas? The spark plugs were changed out & the fuel system was flushed just a couple months before this started happening.

It runs fine with a "new" battery? Have your alternator/charging system tested...free at many parts stores.

Ok.... I just checked the alt. The manual says 13.5 - 15 volts & not fall much loaded. It was charging 14.5 & dropped to 14.3 loaded. I'm getting a propper battery for it on the next paycheck.

My alternator was also reading that it was charging fine and all- but the guys at Advanced ran it with their machine and it said the charge was fine also but my diodes were "open" and this meant bad. They then said "open diodes" are also called "burnt diodes". Who knows- maybe worth getting it checked out with their machine?

The Alt tested good on the bench, I put a new battery in it. I started it & let it warm up. Drove back & forth in the driveway (this usually was when I could get it to act up) & it ran fine. Drove it around the block once & it still ran good. Thought I finally fixed it. Decided to go around one more time before I left the neighborhood & got most of the way around & it started again. Feelin like it was only running on 4 cylinders. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
